Donations to the Diocese of Port Elizabeth
There are always a large number of calls on the finances of any Diocese, and all rely on the generosity of their people to meet these needs.
The Diocese of Port Elizabeth is no different. For many years, the Diocese was very fortunate to be the recipient of funds from international sources, and this assisted greatly in meeting the needs of the Diocese.
However, these funds are slowly drying up as a result of changing economic times internationally, as well as changing perspectives and ideas.
The emphasis has therefore increasingly been on self-sufficiency, both at Diocesan and Parish levels. The Diocese needs YOUR help to attain that self-sufficiency.

Eastern Province Sick Priests Fund
The Sick Priests' Fund is the Diocesan Priests' "Medical Aid" and support fund. It takes care of the healthcare needs of the Diocesan priests in the Diocese.
The Fund's prmary source of revenue is the Annual Sick Priests' Fund Second Collection held in August/September.
However, in the light of the number of very long-serving priests in the Diocese, demands on the fund are on the increase, and every little bit helps.
You may choose to make a donation here to the Fund.
Thank you for your past generosity to this worthy cause.

Don't forget the Diocese in your Will
You can choose to help the important work of the Catholic Diocese of Port Elizabeth by making a bequest.
A bequest is a gift of part of your estate made in your Will. Your estate is the total of all your assets and possessions when you pass away. By making a bequest, you will provide support for many ministries provided by the Diocese. Your generosity will make a difference to the lives of many.
If you would like to make a bequest, there are many ways to do so. For example: a gift of a specific amount of your choice; a gift of particular belongings such as jewellery or property; a percentage of part of your estate; a gift of that part of your estate that remains after you have provided for any of your loved ones; a gift of your whole estate.
By making a bequest, you can also elect to contribute to a specific important work of the Diocese.
For your final wishes to be honoured, you must have a valid Will. For this reason, it is very important that you arrange to have a valid Will drawn up by an attorney, bank or other financial insitution.
